Last week saw the launch of a campaign to educate consumers on how to buy and sell DVDs safely on eBay. This is a joint eBay and FACT (Federation Against Copyright Theft) initiative. Today saw one of the first arrests since the campaign launch with a raid by trading standards on a London address. Several hundred counterfiet DVD’s were siezed along with the 22 year old man’s computer equipment.
Kieron Sharp, director general of FACT warns “We will continue to actively pursue such illegal traders who are openly flouting the lawâ€.
