Fake designer seller must repay £100,000

A man who sold fake designer goods on eBay has been ordered to repay the profits of his crimes. In August 2004, trading standards raided the home of Matthew Bunnell in Norden, Lancashire; they seized 127 items, including counterfeit Burberry and Armani watches and Ray-ban and Gucci sunglasses. Bunnell had sold more than 1000 fake items on eBay, netting him £30,000. He was convicted last October of several charges under the Trade Marks Act 1984, and a court has now ordered him to repay the £103,470 he made in total from selling counterfeits.
