John Schneider and the General Lee A version of the Dukes of Hazzard’s car, the orange General Lee, has been sold on eBay for nearly US$10million. The car was sold by John Schneider, who played Bo Duke in the original TV series. It appeared in what the seller calls “the last REAL Dukes of Hazzard movie”, and has been autographed by the cast.

If the buyer comes good, this will be the most expensive item ever sold on eBay. eBay spokeswoman Catherine England said “until we hear from buyer and seller we have no way of verifying whether the transaction happened”. Media attempts to contact the buyer have apparently been unsuccessful.

The previous biggest eBay sale was US$4.9m for a private jet.

Schneider’s estate manager, Allen Stockman said that the actor “kind of expected it”, but that legal action is being taken against the non-paying bidder. For what it’s worth, Schneider has also left negative feedback for his NPB. [...]
