PayPal and The British Red Cross have launched an appeal in support of the communities affected by recent floods throughout the UK.
They’re raising money to support individuals whose homes and lives have been affected as well as community recovery activities. The appeal will assist those previously affected by floods as well as those currently affected and any more victims affected in the next few weeks.

just in case I am misunderstood
I think this is a grand idea any help from anywhere is a good thing for these poor folk, Lives and futures down the slot in a weekend ,it must be a nightmare,
my earlier point being the government can spend a few trillion quid on Irag, it cant be that hard to throw a mountain of money at your own citizens
And there was me thinking you were refering to all the self employed writing cheques this weekend for the second tax installment due July 31st.
I hate tax, but if the government want to use it on something useful and not more penpushers I’ll be happy. I’d be even happier not to pay so much in the first place though!
what was it someone said
there are two things that are certain in life and thats tax and death
I suffer death by tax lol
