Elvis Presley’s tooth and the Kings Hair

There can be few things more gross than collecting body parts of your idol, but that’s exactly what fans of Elvis Presley can now do. Elvis’ tooth is now listed on eBay with a start price of $10,000. Titled as a “A Crown Without A King” it was recovered, by Elvis’ then girlfriend, Linda Thompson, after a trip to the dentist.

Of course if Elvis isn’t enough of a King for you eBay is the place to go for memorabilia from real kings. A strand of hair from King George III is on auction from the same seller. It was authenticated by a hand writing expert in 1996 which puzzled me, I would have thought a DNA analysis would be more conculsive.

Wonder how long before both auctions are pulled due to the ‘body parts’ rule ?

Humans, the human body or any human body parts may not be listed on eBay. Examples of prohibited items include, but are not limited to: organs, bone, blood, waste, sperm, and eggs……etc

Human hair is allowed, and if you read the tooth auction it’s actually a crown and so not human at all…. I guess it’s more of a medical part. Doesn’t make it any less gross though
