A Belfast man scammed £247,000 worth of goods from B&Q and sold them on eBay. Philip Dumigan used fake barcodes which registered lower prices at the checkout. The fraud involved 450 items, most of which were sold on eBay, for an estimated profit of £100,000. Dumigan hit various B&Q stores around the Belfast area, the court heard, but was stopped by security staff last February on suspicion of theft.
