eBay theft worker sacked

A Cartridge World employee has been sacked after being cautioned by police for selling stolen printer toner cartridges on eBay. The 27 year old man, who worked in at the store in Accrington, Lancashire, was accused of stealing 81 toners worth around £1,500 between August and October this year; he was believed to have been reselling them on eBay. He was arrested and issued with an adult caution as it was his first offence.
Darren Turner, boss of Cartridge World, said “It’s awful to think that somebody I trusted could steal from me and I would warn other businesses, especially small ones, to be on their guard against this type of crime. Selling stolen goods is all too easy with the advent of eBay.”

utter dribble to say ebay makes selling stolen good easier,
selling on ebay if anything makes it easier for police t etc
you have pictures and every detail you might ever need bank accounts, address ,who paid ,where it was sent , to trace and prosecute thieves
north, spot on.
it makes it far easier to track the thief down, silly to say it makes it easier to sell…..
i guess it does make it easier to sell with the traffic, but equally much easier to police it!
he never heard of a car boot sale then……
Well exactly - or selling dodgy gear in the pub!
What eBay does make it easier to do is blame someone else when your employees rip you off.
It’s an easy pop certainly. Of course they’re anti-eBay: legit cartridges from customer focussed sellers are way cheaper on the bay.
