Send SIF to core pricing glitch

List for free?A few sellers have mentioned a problem they’ve had today where, when sending a listing from SIF to BIN or auction, the fees displayed have been incorrect. For example, Sticky ‘Jon’ McGlue told me that “if I ’send a SIF to auction’ with a £14.90 start and a £19.90 BIN then it tried to charge me £0.90. When I ended the SIF and relisted it once it was ended, it charged me the usual £0.65.”

Having heard that more than one seller was having this problem, I tried it for myself. And I certainly got a glitch, though it wasn’t one I’m going to complain about: a 99p listing with Gallery was priced at £0.00. This listing isn’t yet showing up on my seller invoice, either for free or at the normal price, so I’m not sure yet whether the glitch is in the price being charged, or just the price being displayed at the time of listing.

If you’re sending to a core listing from a SIF though, keep an eye on the price you’re being charged, and make sure you claim any excess fees back from eBay. If there are more sellers than me getting to list for free, I’m sure it won’t be long before it’s fixed.
