Baby for sale - “It was only a joke”
by Chris Dawson
“It was only a joke” is the excuse of a 23 year old German woman, when her 8 month old baby was taken into care after she offered him for sale on eBay.
With a starting price of just €1.00, the listing read “Baby — collection only. Offer my nearly new baby for sale because it cries too much. Male, 70 cm long.”
Saying it was a joke and that she “just wanted to see if someone would make an offer” didn’t stop several people alerting the authorities, and the auction was pulled about 2½ hours after it was posted. The woman is now to undergo psychiatric tests.

“The woman is now to undergo psychiatric tests.” To bloody right!
Some lessons in parenthood wouldn’t go a miss as well as 20 lashes. Disgusting.
The people who need psychiatric tests are those who think this was a serious attempt to flog off an unwanted baby.
For a start a serious seller would want to emphasize the positive, she’s hardly going to get a good price stating it ‘cries too much’.
I am not in need of any psychiatric help thanks super max, purely speaking as a father of two beautiful children.
Can you imagine the look of joy on the face of a paedophile if he spotted this and thought it was genuine ?? not a thought I would like to imagine and one I doubt you would.
Children are precious, so called jokes of this nature come from bad, ill-educated parents who should be given a severe kick up the ass or worse.
More likely someone who can’t have a baby would be desperate to buy one
