Terapeak to replace eBay Marketplace Research

by Chris Dawson

Terapeak are to offer an alternative to eBay Marketplace Research, which they say is to be retired on 15th September this year.

Marketplace Research by Terapeak will be offered to all existing eBay Marketplace Research subscribers and all eBay users will be able to subscribe in the future. Terapeak plan to extend the range of reports and features available including up to two years of category trends, seller-specific
searches, and dedicated customer support.

If you’d like a preview of Terapeak they offer some free eBay research tools as well as paid reports

Top link isn’t taking me anywhere useful - is it right?

Interesting: Ebay’s Marketplace Research tools never worked from it’s launch in December 2005. It was wildly innaccurate and often bug riddled.
Fingers crossed we don’t have to wait this long for ebay to get an independant company in to take over the DSRs ……

Do you have any idea if we will be automatically transferred from Marketplace, or if we will need to resubscribe? I wonder if there will be a change of fees too…

As of yesterday, August 18th, eBay has discontinued its own Marketplace Research tool, and, in its place, is offering ours!

Now if only they’d do that with the feedback system.
