Monarch airlines have taken more than £1 million in PayPal payments since they signed up with the service last October. The company was the first European airline to offer PayPal payments on its website. Customers can use their PayPal account to pay for flight bookings, seat upgrades and hold baggage. Monarch scheduled services managing director Liz Savage said “since launch back in October 2007 sales have grown significantly”.
